When you just can't choose a theme, you can't go past color,
and lots of it turns the cheeriness of color into a party with a rainbow theme.
This is such a fun party theme. If you have an art and color loving child,
a rainbow art party can be a really fun and original theme for the
birthday boy or girl. Rainbow Themed Party is becoming very popular. It is an
easy party theme to plan as there are a lot of great rainbow party decorations,
games and party bags and it is very easy to create rainbow party food. Rainbowparties are bright and cheerful and are bound to bring a smile to everyone’s
eyes. The possibilities are endless. From Over the Rainbow Themes to
Rainbows & Unicorns you can just about incorporate rainbows into every
event! From Birthdays to Baby Showers, even Weddings. I
hope you enjoy all the ideas and inspiration.
Have the birthday boy or girl color in, or draw, a bunch of
rainbows on a piece of white cardboard cut into a postcard size. Mail the
invitations off with the party details written on the back. Make your own
invitations by downloading a rainbow from a clip art website and enlarging it
to whatever size you need. Print the rainbow out on white card stock paper on
the front. Leave the inside for the party details. This is an easy way to
decorate for a rainbow theme. Balloons come in all colors. You could blow up
10-15 balloons and leave them on the ground for the kids to play with as they
arrive, or tape them to a ribbon and hang them as a wall or door decoration for
a balloon garland. Put a rainbow spin on the traditional musical chairs game.
Tie a different colored balloon to each chair and play a short song. The winner
is the one who gets the last chair and wins all the balloons. Make sure that
each guest gets a balloon to take home as well. Rainbow Sand Art is another
activity that toddlers will enjoy. Fill a baby food jar with different colors
of sand; give each child a sheet of manila paper, then use a glue stick to make
the shape of a rainbow on the paper for the child. Give the child the jar of
colored sand and let him pour it on the glue to make his own rainbow. Allow the
glue to dry before giving it to the child to take home. Good luck.
